I'm David HK from humble Malaysia, and I grew up in a town called Shah Alam.
What inspires my work is a little bit of creative magic, a ton of observation, and a never-dying passion. I also believe deeply in Leo Burnett's HumanKind philosophy that creativity has the power to change human behaviour.
What I don't believe in is the idea of the creative rockstar because everything I have accomplished is the result of the people I've been lucky to work with. (I also don't believe in scam work but that's a debate for another time).
I've been blessed to work with clients from a variety of sectors such as telco, FMCG, banking, insurance, alcohol, tech, and retail that has helped diversity my knowledge and experience. Some of this work has also been recognised by award shows local and international including Cannes Lion, LIA, One Show Asia, Spikes, Effies, AdFest, MadStars, Campaign Brief The Work, ISTD London, Kancils, Markies, Appies, and Dragon of Asia.
